Today, more and more people decide to go abroad in order to attend college or university.
However, this is a choice that offers both advantages and disadvantages.
One major advantage of studying abroad is the fact that students get to experience a whole new way of life. They come in contact with a culture different to their own, and have to get used to the customs and habits of their host country.
However, studying abroad does not come without its disadvantages. A major drawback is the fact that people who go to a foreign country to study may feel lonely. Being away from their friends and families, they are quite likely to miss the comfort and familiarity provided by those close to them.
All things considered, studying in a foreign country can certainly be the experience of a lifetime, provided the person who takes such a decision can get accustomed to being away from home and making new friends. I believe it is a valuable experience.
